Lohan to be arrested

According to the Beverly Hills police an arrest warrant has been issued for actress Lindsay Lohan recently. As one of the police officers said they really hoped that the actress would surrender so that this problem could be solved in the designated way. They tried to get in touch with her through her publicist as well as her lawyer, but they have not returned the calls so far.

The 22-year old girl had crashed her car last year and two months after the incident she was arrested again. She was under the influence of alcohol as well as drugs while driving her car and by doing so she endangered the life of many other people. As a sentence she had to spend one day in jail and later she had to enrol in an alcohol education programme lasting for 18 months.

The 50,000 dollar warrant comes from the 2007 arrest. The actress has to complete the terms of her probation, otherwise she could go to jail. She has to meet her probation officer regularly during this period. The only reason why she could avoid more serious charges is because she only had a small amount of drugs with her when she was arrested last year.

Her star is not rising when it comes to her career, either. I still remember her very first major appearance, in Disney’s Parent Trap, where she played twins showing great performance. Since then she has not done anything marvellous on the big screen. It is quite the opposite: last year she won three Razzie awards. The “Razzie Award For Worst Actor” nominations have been given out by at the Golden Raspberry Awards since 1980. It appears Lindsay Lohan belongs to that group of people who simply cannot handle fame that comes in their early life.

U2 achieves 10th number one album

By crowning the UK album chart for the 10th occasion, the famous rock band made one of the top five chart acts of all time. Madonna and the Rolling Stones have the same success, so U2 “only” needs to surpass the achievements of Elvis Presley and The Beatles. Among the single singers, Flo Rida US rapper seemed to have entered the chart with his latest success, Right Round.

According to the Official Chart Company, the Irish band U2 has to top the chart for a further four times in the future in order to reach the same record as was achieved by Elvis Presley. The all-time record held by Mr Presley means 15 number ones. The second in the row, the ‘60s teenage rock band called The Beatles, scored 11 times on the chart. Note that U2’s first success came 16 years ago: that was the first time when they topped the chart with the debut of their album called War.

Michael Jackson comes back for touring after 12 years

Mr Jackson has a plan to start touring in the near future for the last time. Actually, not only are we talking about touring, but a complete comeback plan which would even involve Jackson’s playing in a 3D movie based on his Thriller song. If the singer makes the deal regarding his return he could earn as much as 400 million dollars in three years time.

The superstar has recently announced that he would definitely perform a handful of concerts in the so-called O2 arena in London. He labelled these moments as the “final curtain call” as well as “my final show performances in London”, according to BBC Entertainment. He still has to decide whether he wishes to start a world tour after the journey in London or not. When he appeared in front of his fans in London last Thursday he said “I love you so much. This will be it. When I say this is it, it really means this is it. I'll be performing the songs my fans want to hear.” He must have meant it; after all, he arrived more than an hour late for the announcement.

His first appearance will be at the beginning of July at a venue with approximately 20,000 capacities. Tickets for the performance can be purchased from next week and will cost at least 50 pounds. This will be Mr Jackson’s first tour after a 12-year long pause. Well, to be specific, he made a performance back in 2006 at the World Music Awards in London, but he could only disappoint his fans by singing for a short period of time. Let’s hope he can finally find a way back to the heart of his fans: the superstar’s life has not been easy since the early ‘90s when he was accused of molesting an 11-year old child. In 2003 the charges were the same and as a result of that he was arrested and had to appear in court. In a TV documentary he himself said that “one of the most loving things to do is to share your bed with someone” (which could even include children).

Last Harry Potter movie to be released in 2011

It seems that for Warner Brothers seven Harry Potter movies are not enough, therefore they decided to make another one, an eight instalment. Does that mean that the studio will continue the story that was created by J. K. Rowling and is told only in seven books? No, they just had in their mind that as the last Harry Potter book, the Deathly Hallows, is very long and complex in terms of the main plot, it was just better if they split it up.

This means that Harry Potter fans will not be out of HP even in 2011 as the studio expects to present Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II in July 2011. Part 1 is scheduled to be released at the end of 2010. Meanwhile, the sixth Harry Potter film will only be released during the summer of 2009. Warner Brothers has already completed the production of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, but as President Alan Horn said it was better for them to release a blockbuster in the summertime. Mr Horn also said that last winter’s writers’ strike is to blame.

While the first part of the seventh episode is being in pre-production, one of the sets had to be closed down as one of the stuntmen had suffered an accident. Stuntman David Holmes had seriously hurt his back while shooting his sequence in the movie. According to the hospital where he is being treated he seems to be recovering, thus the set has been reopened recently after a thorough investigation.
